Antoine de Valois, half-brother of Charles the Bold, the last of the Valois dukes of Burgundy. Born 1421, died 1504. Called the Grand Bastard of Burgundy because his father had a number of illegitimate offspring, but he was the most powerful and influential. Basically operated as close ally of his half-brother the duke. Member of the prestigious Order of the Golden Fleece.
