I do feel a bit of a fraud on this website although I do love running, and am going to try my hardest in Edinburgh this year!
In terms of previous running, I did do the Great North Run in 2007 and loved it, got a time of 2 hrs 4 mins and ever since been desperate to beat it, but unfortunately last year got completely crippled by an ear infection of all things (and had kept up training throughout my 2 week holiday as well). So preparation not as good as it could have been for Scotland.
Tend to use work as an excuse for not running so now going to just keep to schedule and hopefully run round Edinburgh in less than 4 hr 30! (hopefully not setting myself up for failure as is my first marathon)
