Not one of my better efforts! Always start too fast but this was really mad and consequently paid the price big time and was so so tired by the last mile! Next year I swear I am going to try and run even splits for these races but just pleased done the last one for this year- probably my least favourite distance. Well done to some good runs out there tonight-especially to Totley for her PB and also to Jade who is back on form. Lucy had her first run in a WJ vest and was not far behind me-this could be the last time I beat her! Gonna rest now for a good week and try and let my sore right calf/achilles recover

Enjoy your holiday and just acknowledge that age has a huge part to play in Lucy's speed, it makes them beating you easier to bear cos it is out of your control. You have showed her the way :-)
