Oh dear, it sounds like it was a super tough race in that heat! I think I have definitely acclimatised to North Wales - been trying to run in the "heat" i.e. 21 degrees here and slowed right down and got no further than 10 miles. I don't think I would have made it through a half in that weather! Well done you though!
Well done Edith, sounds like it was a tough race!
I made it tougher by making some mistakes like forgetting that I need my medication when attempting to run in Germany. The pollen count was incredibly high yesterday which made breathing almost impossible for me. I started with 8:30/mi slowed down to 10min/mi and the second 10k with 11min/mi. I never thought I would suffer more in a half than in a full marathon. Mum and dad also had their worst half-marathon ever; we as a family showed solidarity in mediocrity crabing along the course. :D
