Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Notes & Comments

Arrived to find only 36 entered in the maraThon distance, bit worried as no markers and realised navigation might be an issue! Because it was Evies party on Saturday I hadn't given this any thought - which resulted in me being rather under prepared, had no energy drinks gels sweets or water, just my vest and shorts and a few tissues and directions - I felt quite naked for a trail race! Lovely run with loads of people for first five miles and then marathoners split for those doing half and 20, after that I only saw 4 people until the final mile and although they were all nice chatty people it did feel a bit lonely. My navigation skills were top though and no getting lost phew. Hit the wall for the first time ever ina trail rave at about 22 miles I wad wobbling all over the shop and couldn't run if my life depended on it. Was well embarrassed as I grew up in Dunstable and felt sure someone would see me hobbling along - the shame! Looked behind and saw a guy I passed earlier catching me and that got me started running again and I did recover quite a bit. Glad to see finish and can hardly walk now!

Well done for the effort.

Well done on another hard run, you don't like doing it the easy way do you? You were safe with the bull, he would have realised you were tougher than him!!!

well done Katie, you certainly have some stamina and deteermination, i need all the support going to do a marathon which is why I will only enter city ones.
Please wait... saving your change.
