Well done 😀
Nice fast ending too, well done!
Did it work at as planned?
Thank you, that was a good progressive run. It wasn't exactly planned like that but I just went with our guest runner, a 72 yo runner who wanted to run 2:10. After we took it easy for the first three laps and were behind schedule, he began pushing the pace and reeling other teams in. It felt good to run 2 faster laps in the end. I wasn't fatigued at all and could have run further at that pace. The hardest part was volunteering at the cafeteria afterwards for three hours.
I thought it was a bit easy pace for a race for you.
The race is a team event organized by my club. We provide subs if teams are missing a runner or two. I volunteered to run as a sub and then help out in the cafeteria until the final runners finished the marathon. I'll write a blog about it later.
Great stuff.👌Good on Herbert too.
