Potters Arf - stood at start line in the heat and seriously thought about dropping out. Was sooo hot already, done no distance for months etc etc but Rich persuaded me to stick with it. Started feeling ok but was finding it hard already at mile 3. However, something happened and for the rest of the run I quite enjoyed myself. The hills added variety and actually quite enjoyed running around all the council estates!!?!?! Great support I felt and I felt very strong steadily making my way through the field and passing people who had started walking. Some very tough inclines but ran them all, other than the rediculous one at mile 12!! Felt pretty good even at the end and must admit was a little disappointed to see 1:54 on the clock as I had felt so good and strong on the second half. Either way, at the start I was doubting sub2 cos of heat and my head so am happy with my time in such heat and on quite a challenging course
