Eye Charity 5 mile race

Thought I'd have a go at intervals whilst doing this race. Didn't programme the garmin so tried to keep an eye on distance and time, sort of worked but not completely accurate. Wanted to do 0.50 mile at 9m/m and then 90 secs recovery. Can understand why I was so tired now cos the recovery was quite fast. Last interval I just kept going especially as it was mostly down hill. Caught and overtook an Eye runner and her supporters were telling her to take me so I thought NO WAY!! made me go even faster at the end and had a bit of a sprint finish. Very enjoyable run and glad the entry was going to charity :-)

New highest heart rate 194 bpm!! Had a health check today at the drs and nurse said my resting heart rate was 48 bpm!!

According to the official results you did 45.19 which I think are correct, you were much quicker than 46.53. You were to polite on the efforts when coming up behind groups of runners!!
