HBNS I ran even although I'm not fit and have a suspected knee cartilage injury. Probably my last race for a long time, I struggled slowly round. The course was changed slightly late on to make it up to 10k, and it was funny coming across some of my ex-players I coached who were acting as stewards, they seemed sympathetic ;-)

Poor time as expected, a bit breezy and not flat, but I tried to enjoy this well organised and well stewarded race. I finished 35th out of 175 finishers.

Steve69 Only my second race and really hoped to beat the hour, so I was really chuffed to knock a full 3 minutes off my previous time. Well organised race. The course was good, will be back next year.

Thighsofsteel What went wrong??? Was it the wind?? But I felt fine and strong all the way round - kept thinking there was something wrong with the k-markers! Shurely shome mishtake! Ah well... just not my day today. Nice course though, and a bouncy start and finish on the track. ..... Some time later: found out I was 12th out of 72 women, which ain't too bad.
