RunningBob Tough long race around the Goyt Valley - BL 13.5m/2500ft . We train on parts of the route. Most of the hills are long with easy gradients but the haul up to Windgather is a killer. There are a couple of places where it is easy to go the wrong way so try to follow someone who knows the route. In good weather the views and open country are superb. Entry on the day - have a go! Weather was perfect. Picked up a niggle in right leg over the first few miles which became painful over the flagstones by to Shining Tor. Pleased enough with 5th in the end.
