Gobi 2nd place and a PB on the new course. Happy knowing there is more to come. Moved through the field from about 9th place after the first km. 5th at half way and chased down 3 of the 4 in front of me for a good finish. Probably lost a few seconds to the dog that decided to eat my leg and a couple getting the finish mark wrong and cruising in. I need somebody to actually fight back as I run in so that I can be pushed harder. I now believe sub 17 on the right day is there. Cannock & Stafford AC 16:16 17:02 17:15 76.20
Rach E I did warn you not to bet (Magoo!!!! ;-)). Rather muddy today on the new course. Ran to another sub-19 but wasn't completely flat out. Aim was not to keel over today - and I didn't! Aldershot, Farnham & District AC, Team Kennet, Newbury Velo 17:52 17:59 18:15 18:59 77.61
RFJ Well this was a run with RFJ Jnr, all stared well with a good warm up, with RachE, Gobi, Snaps and Sparkymark.

But soon after the start I knew RFJ jnr wasnt firing, he kept on it till the end of the first lap where he made the decision to drop out, (really brave of him to realise that he had a minor strain and was best to pull out) so happy for him in a way. So that was the first lap and a bit in 13:30, oh well, time to put the foot to the floor and see whats in the tank, wow........ the fisrt 400m of the 2nd lap was quick, then I realised I still had 2 K to go........ oh well lets just hang on, did not get overtaken at all on second lap and took about 12 people.

By the time I got to the finish line with RFJ jnr watching I was a spent force... same time as last time for WCTT, the time was irrelevant, it was sheer joy just to be and feel a bit competitive again.

Then had a good social with those mentioned above. Swindon Striders 17:59 20:17 23:08 58.07
Snapstinget Slow but sure Unaffiliated 23:19 23:19 25:21 59.04
SparkyMark Tried to keep it 'easy' in first k and then push on, but pace was not there in final k. Only 16 secs outside PB so a good run in the conditions and I'm targeting endurance rather than pure speed. Could not have gone quicker. Great to see Gobi, Rach, Snaps, RFJ and RFJ jr too. Breakfast went down well too :-) watch time, will update when results are available. Alchester RC (Bicester) 20:42 20:42 21:00 20:58 65.02
