festerarl Set off with 'the pack' limited by space, but actually 1st km was in about 4.40 I think, so quick enough. Then kept a little slower so that at 5k it was 24m. Knew there was a hill at 5k and between 6-8k so saved myself for them. 8-9k a little slow possibly (need to check Garmin) - recovering from hills but then blitzed the last k and overtook loads. Nobody overtook me from about 5k onwards. Overall pleased and fairly sure I can go faster with slightly better pace management. Need also to revised the Garmin beeps from 4.30 - 5.00 (and it going off 10s slower and faster than that) to say 4.25 - 4.45. This could ensure closer to 45m pace.

gcwenn got confused at the start and lost a lot of time as i started at the back. Will be back next year....a good PB race
