RununMan It would have been a good run but for the WIND (and it was sooo cold!!!). Did not run well. I went off okay but struggled to hold pace across the moor due to the wind, got stuck on own and taking full force of wind head on!! Lost it at that point and didn't really recover. Tried to pick it up for last mile but had left too much to do. Defo need to do some speedwork if i'm going to improve my 10k times! Finished 28th and surprised I finshed 4th V40.

northernrunner 1st time iv ran this and if it hadn't been for the strong winds across the middle of the moor i think myself and most other peole would manage a new PB

Skylonsthelimit Very strong head wind on the big straight twice, and as usual the 8k marker was wrong, but i think it was closer than last year (missed most of the others).

Rich B My brother says the course is flat so hopefully I'll manage a faster time than I did for the Hellhole 10k, we'll see. Update: Bit gutted I missed out on my predicted time by 2 measly seconds but as it was only my second race I can take away some valuable experiance from it. That wind was a bit of a killer but it was a fun event and a good course I think I could definately go faster on.

Lisrun Flat and fast, but I won't get a pb. *Update* My worst time here and the fifth time I have done it. Sunny, but cold and wind. Too much running in the last two days probably led to the poor time

Allien Memorial 10k - Exhibition Park. Well, I had to wear my poppy. It was soooooo windy for all two laps of the park. I didn't think I was going to PB but the course is a nice flat course. I also haven't done much training recently so that was a concern. Only saw km markers at 1, 2, 7 and 9 - was too fast through 1, too slow through 2, on target at 7, ahead of target at 9 and just pulled out all the stops to finish with a shiney new PB. Hurray!
