shannon Excellent race in Dawsholm (only 80m from my house) organised by my club across the road, Garscube Harriers. It was an impressive hilly course, well laid out and great marshalling. It was weird seeing new park sights so close but I had always stuck to the main routes in the park and never ventured up the hill to get to see the cows and the views of Glasgow. It was a fun race and alot of people were very nice and said it was good to see me back running in races (but I guess I had no excuse being so close!). Good also to get some name cheers on the way round. BUT it was very hard work on the hills and at times I felt a bit isolated, although I did have a wee small battle with 3 other guys and managed to lap Tommy. The race started early, much to the dismay of a few, especially the Westies crew who were doing well in the GC.
