Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

The Outlaw South Downs Relay from Beachy Head to Chilcombe. Ran 3 legs out of 16, as one of 6 members of the Ranelagh Vets team of 6. 7.30am start for Leg One Beachy Head to Jevington Church: 4.5. miles (29:55) Fairly comfortable, not too hilly, didn't get lost because we all started together and I was able to keep in the leading group; Leg Seven Saddlescombe to A283 east of Adur: Officially 5.25 miles, plus an additional 3/4 mile getting lost (42:25). I ran the entire route with just one other person. I was 20 secs in front of him all the way, but I stopped 4 or 5 times to wait and ask directions. We both took the wrong route in the last mile or so and had to run at least an extra 3/4 mile; Leg thirteen: Officially 6.25 miles but think I ran a fair bit more, including an extra hill! Three very big hills (59:23). Legs extremely stiff at finish, due to sitting around between legs. Very enyoable day. I would definitely like to take part next year, but it's essential to recce the route in advance to avoid getting lost. My official total distance over the 3 legs was 16 miles but I actually ran a few miles more. The total team time for 96 miles (plus a few extra miles!) was 12:30:43.
