WillBill I'd forgotten how hard this little race is. Then again, starting to fast (went past Lloyd - bad move) didn't help. Reached top in 6th place, turned for home and messed around at the top (slippery rocks) before getting a move on when I heard Joe coming up behind. Slipped a couple of times on the steep bank above the river, Joe got past but I thought could get him back on the uphill finish. I didn't - and Bashir came past at a rate of knots to take the first Vet place. Finished 7th, and 2nd Vet - perhaps not so bad given jet lag & exposure to US portions over last couple of weeks.
