Yellow Fang I cycled here from Wantage this morning and only arrived about 15 minutes before the start. I was still in the loo at 11am, though I made it to the start before it set off. I didn't set off as hard as last time and didn't bother trying to run any of the really steep hills. The mud was very steep and slippery. We were floundering all over the place. I was prepared for the Giant's Grave this time. There was a long muddy section from mile seven to eight and then a long up hill drag from mile eight to nine. I finished quite strongly and picked off a few people in the last mile. I was four minutes slower than last time, but still quite pleased.
