Lady In Red I have now completed my first 10k run and I loved every minute of it!!! The weather was really great too, not to hot and not to cold...a slight breeze with sunny intervals, great!! Was a really slow start with walkers at the beginning, had to do some dodging in and out as they were scattered all over the road!!! I mananaged to run the first 5k without stopping which is really good for me....although I did have a couple of walks after that as my knees were starting to get a bit sore (pain is in the mind!). My walks only consisted of about 5-8 paces then I was off again! I smiled all the way to the finish, the spectators were just brilliant too, they cheer you on so much which made me more determined to finish! My time is over an hour but I think I could have done better had I pushed myself that bit more. I could here the people at the finish line so I upped the pace slightly then saw the finish line and I managed my sprint finish, whizzing past people I went!! It was great to here the person on the loud speaker say
