Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Baza That was tough..Started steady, Let Jeff(he was 1st btw) go as he's to fast and stuck with a guy from Central AC for the remainder of the race, reckon we worked of each others strentghs, but in the end he out kicked me with 150 to go. Still 3rd in a 5K - I've got to be happy with that, times are irelevent on this tough course. Still unsure about the Half in the morning, see how the legs are. Gd to see andy and RS again.

_andy Another very hilly run around Pittencrieff Park (with a wee bit added to the bottom of the route to take it a bit over 5k). Managed to get plenty of six-minute-miles (flying downhill for five sections each lap), but this was spoilt by lots of eight-minute-miles on the many uphill sections. Hot conditions changed after ten minutes to become monsoon conditions as a spectacular storm passed over. Watched the lead group of five disappear at the start, and was passed by a thin Aberdeen Metro runner by the greenhouses after the first bit of climbing, but hung on grimly to open up some breathing space for 7th place. It counts as a PB since it's my first 5k race, but it was slower than any of my 5k half-marathon splits with all them hills. Note: three Fetchies in the top ten (well done Baza and SoaPN)!

Son of a Pronator Man 'twill be a pB, haven't raced 5K before, but this is not a fast course so won't be sub 20m that I could do under the right conditions.*update*** Finished in 9th place ( first ever top 10 finish, 2 places behind Andy and just behind the first lady ( and what a behind she had ;)) Probably a slow 5k, the second lap of a hilly course was very hard.

Runnersleep Usual 2 x lung busting loops round park. Very humid then thunderstorm 2nd lap. Still, got my legs ready for the half tomorrow - Kill or Cure - Thats my philosophy.
Well done to Baza for coming third and Geoff (non Fetchie but in our club) for winning it - good result for Pitreavie.

freeby Badly organised race, nothing at finish, no bananas, water, t shirt etc. Marshalls at end didn't have a clue what to do or where to go. No effort, no atmosphere.
