Musical Journey My love affair with running began with this, my first race since those compulsory ones at school! It was a great atmosphere and a wonderful setting, and luckily was accompanied by a colleague from work who was a much more experienced runner and literally dragged me along the course. With his help, I ran an incredible 49 minutes and it made the pain at the end that little bit more bearable. During a beer afterwards, I swore I would never run further than that distance...the rest is history!

Pierre First 10K, I think. The first Nike RunLondon, I surprised myself by running a decent amount less than an hour; I seem to remember I also then ran about 2 miles, with some guys I met at the race, to a nearby pub for a couple of pints before getting the train home!
