paskha 22nd 10K / 1st Newquay 10K. PB !! This is a new race for 2005. I'd never run a 10K faster than 56 mins until this day. (Over 8 years of running I've now done 22 10K races, but don't like them, as it takes me 50 mins to warm up!! prefer longer races.) New Leisure Centre since 12 August! so I knew I was fitter and really hoped for a PB, I was really chuffed at my time. It was a good undulating course, and a cool sunny Autumn morning.

Yog-Sothoth 2nd time out at 10K, and another PB! Excellent race organisation - well marshalled throughout. Weather co-operated too, providing us with warm sunshine and a light Northerly breeze. Short but nasty little hill in the second mile was the only serious drag on the course - most locals hardly noticed (it's all hills down this way...). Tried hanging onto a faster clubmate, but he burned me off in the final mile. Drat and double drat! :-)
