Ally2 1st leg. 10th. Team 8th. Started 3 rows back then made headway round the loop taking both tipton guys and up the hill. A few faded at the top of the hill, passed by Russell and tickner but still managed to close to the back of the lead group headed by central ac guy. At cone group of 12 were together me near the back. Then the pace hotted up and I was left with Morpeth, altrincham and brst runner. Took the stockport runner befire the downhill, then alty runner flew by aswell as brat runner. Ding dong battle with Morpeth guy ended up with a sprint finish. For first time on course could really give it all on the sprint and felt really strong all way round on tough first leg. Pleased. Been informed that its in the quickest 6 ever notts runners on current sutton course along with bruce, billy, ian boneham, nick talbot and one other.
