Alun Went out looking for a low 5 minutes finish, ran 81 seconds per lap pace for the first 300m, slipped to 83 and then 84 before quickening back to 81 for the final lap. Battled to hold onto second place but was out-kicked off of the final bend and had to settle for the bronze. Happy with my progression on the track this season, the beginning was compromised by the London marathon but I recorded a number of season's best performances by the end. Onwards to the cross country, the best part of the year!!
