About this parkrun

A 'two-location' parkrun - Chantry park from approx. May to Dec & then usually moves to Christchurch Park for approx. Jan-Apr. Chantry is a mainly grass/trail course while Christchurch on paved paths - but both are lovely parks and both have hills!

The run in Christchurch park is in a country estate type park with hills, lakes, wide expansive green areas, wooded areas and of course a country house. The start is at the clubhouse adjacent to the park's cricket pitch, offering great facilities.

Super friendly team at Ipswich for a two lapped with a killer (for some) hill at the beginning of each lap. Loved nearly every minute. 😀

Jan - Apr/May @ Christchurch Park is the faster course all on paths. 2 laps with reasonable climb @ the start of each. This means the last mile is downhill.
Apr/May - Dec @ Chantry clubhouse, mainly grass undulating hard last mile.

May-Dec undulating grass one-lapper. Tea and cake runs freely for a small donation. Jan-Apr hilly paved 2-lap. Tea window nearby and Spoons around the corner for brekkie.

A single-lap curly-wurly at Chantry Park. Enjoyable trail run - ground hard been dry so no issues. One of those where there is no point trying to learn the route in advance, just follow the person in front. Good spectrum of runners from fast to slow
