Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Vindicator PROVISIONAL TIME: I think I stopped my watch late so time could be 34:40, however due to being knackered and some inept finishing funnel staff, another runner or two may have got infront when numbers were taken.
Ran the first downhill mile too fast (6:22) trying to keep up with a club mate who has improved massivlely this summer. got a slight stitch on the first climb so held back a bit on the down hill section to mile 3 (6:54, 6:46) and was dropped by them. A sharp incline then flat to mile 4 went OK (7:12). The last mile was a long drag uphill. Held it together keeping most of my speed (7.21) until a railway bridge where the hill slacks off and there is 0.1 miles to go with a sharp left right in a housing estate to the finish. Looked behind to see a normally faster clubmate closing me so kicked. (I think he was treating this a tempo run not a race). The two of us absolutely caned it around the bends to the finish, much to the delight of the spectators. I forced him wide, but slower runners were baulking me a bit. To be honest, he is faster and had another kick left, where I did not. He beat me in the last few yards, I crossed the line blown and doubled up - possibly why some runners may have pushed passed me.
Got my PB, got Vicksta's cotton wedding aniversary present - The T shirt at this race has always been good.
