garfieldhouse Smashed my PB by a fantastic record. Thanks to all who had the confidence to bet on me, even when I didn't confirm my entry. The race itself was very fast for the first few kilometers through the town and was OK until we reached the rather long and steep-ish hill around the 4 km point. Afterwards, it was fairly easy going, but I had to slow slightly towards the end to make sure I didn't overdo it and end up in an ambulance somewhere.

Jubear Not as good as I'd hoped, nor as bad as I'd feared. 8.30 m/m for the first three flat miles, then I faded right away to a slow jog. I guess what I have lost over the last five weeks of enforced not training, is all my endurance.

Oscar the Grouch Very warm, very hung over. First few k was a bit dull scenery wise but it got better. Cracking hill through most of the 6th k - just kept on giving!! Finished 51st so quite pleased really.
