Alex Patton Actual time was 9:58.5, so i've gone for some optimistic rounding. Really good race - it makes such a difference having people to properly race against. Quick first lap and was 4s up on pace but sat at the back of a large group. Stayed there until about halfway and then felt the pace drop so pushed on to the front of the group. Stayed there until the bell when a couple went past me, but knew I only needed an 79s last lap to bag sub-10. Mark overtook with 150m to go and I had nothing left, but it made me dig deep down the hoe straight to come home with 1.5s to spare. Ended up 7th out of 19
