Bear Foot Good race. Finished 8/172. Wet underfoot. Tried to run negative splits but didn't manage to pace myself that well for the first half (18.21). Was running quite well but suffered a bit over the last 2k. Only managed to keep it going because of the thought of letting down those that bet on me! Must have done something right though because got another PB :)

Blister Absolutely crap tonight. Sorry to those who bet on me I just couldn't get going, the deep/long puddles and muddy ground didn't help much either. I went through 5K in 19:25 (over 20 seconds quicker than last time) but must have dropped off the pace when it should really have been a negative split. Got stitch again after the 6K mark, couldn't push the pace and plodded through the finish in this pafetic time, 11 seconds off PB and nearly a minute slower than I wanted. Seems like I am going to be a plodder for a while yet. Finished 25th out of 172.

Impossible is Nothing Struggled tonight - forgot race number (nearly got disqualified!), legs felt tired, stopped for 2 minutes at halfway because legs/mind just struggling. 5k out in 19:03, 2 min rest, 5k back in 20:18. Sorry to those who bet on me. Wet and muddy again - hoping for a dry one next time. Result: 40 out of 172
