Greenman First time I've done this race and I wasn't prepared for the course - mostly uphill and mostly off-road, the previous night's rain making it pretty squelchy in parts. At least there were hot showers back at the leisure centre though to get cleaned up. I was hoping for close to 30 mins but it was never going to happen on this course-a 6:20 first mile after an uphill start soon put paid to that. Nevertheless it made a welcome change from the usual 1-lap dead flat 5M races that I've run in the past.

Long Eaton Running Club 		35:56 40:47 44:10 50.93
SPKoF Multiterrain course, part road, part track, part bog. The heavy rain the night before made this a tough course. It finishes higher than it starts and has 1 mile of sharp downhill and 4 miles of gentle up. As close to a PW course as you can get. I'd hoped for sub 35 but it wasnt to be. Trail or fell shoes and I probably would have managed it. These races are so much nicer than running around a road.
