Hard packed trail – figure of 8 course – very hilly – very exposed but with great views over Nottingham, located on an old colliery site

In Gedling Country Park on old Colliery Site, with car parking - NG44PE. Undulating route to put it mildly, but amazing views. Solid trails suitable for road shoes. Toilets in visitors’ centre.

A challenging parkrun with 2 main climbs in the figure of 8 circuit through a well laid out country park. Good surface, although I was a DNS on one winter morning when I didn't like the look of the ice. As others have said, the views breathtaking
