CumbriAndy I was in the area on holiday and entering this seemed both easier and more sociable than trying to find a run route for myself. It's run as part of the local gala week and was well supported by the locals. I was quite surprised in the second half of the race to be descending quite sharply - I suppose we must also have gone 'up' too but I can't say I particularly noticed it.
