Jock Itch Gobi opened up a 3 second lead from the off and I stayed with that gap till about 3rd lap when he increased the pace. Pleased with 5:21. Nice evening with a nice crowd.

blue (pete) BEFORE: Never ran a mile before [well, obviously I have but haven't - you know what I mean] and am not sure what to expect apart from a lot of pain and nausia - if I've put enough effort in that is. I've also never run around a real track and can't wait to see what it looks like floodlit - could be inspirational. Under 7.40 will do me. Well done to Rb2 and Iklechick for organising AFTER: 6.41...phew
