Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

BrianJ Enjoyable jog around a surprisingly scenic course. Warm sunny day, but not bad for July. Had to stop frequently to check written directions which slowed me even more.

Helegant Walking for me as I don't yet have my new orthoses, and the peroneal tendonitis is still with me, but happy about the distance because I did 13 miles over cliff paths this week, and not even an aching bone to show for it.
Did the 11 mile version of this in 2003 in 03:35:00ish when in training for Trailwalk. See http://www.runningmeerkat.com/fairlands.htm for the write-up.
Stop press 21/7 the web-site says the event will go ahead, albeit a bit wet in places.
Post race - the sun came out, it was warm and sunny, soft underfoot, and some nice countryside to be travelling through. A few bits of joggin crept in, but nothing to make this qualify as a run.

Rach E Ran as a relaxed training run. First 4.4 miles to first checkpoint with Gobi and Balham Bouncer and then ran the rest of the way with two guys from St. Albans Striders and Fairlands Valley Striders. Very difficult to navigate and without the guys I picked up I would have got SO lost!!! Enjoyable run and nice not to be racing for a change. Very well organised race with free bread pudding at every station and a free BBQ at the end!!
