mulbs If I'm honest I didn't deserve for that one to go as smoothly as it did, should have had more miles in beforehand . . . the Enigma events are lovely though, a small field size (max 50) and very friendly lap-type courses. I ran with my friend Sue, we ran/walked it (as always), chatted, enjoyed the odd pork pie, covered the laps for the marathon, nipped to the loo and then did another lap and a bit to make it to 50k (time to 50k 7hrs 5mins including loo stop). As we approached the line we were encouraged to push it a bit as we were joint first ladies (all the other ladies had opted out of the 50k), being first lady at any event is not remotely likely to ever happen again - it did make me laugh! This is a hard event to rate in the boxes above as you provide pretty much your own refreshments and stash them in the event gazebo and help yourself to what you want on each lap as you need it, it's marshalled at the gazebo and the supporters are the other runners, give it a go, it's brilliant!
