Baza I'll predict 40mins, but I don't like this course so don't waste bets. To big a section on a rough trail that isn't suitable for spikes IMO.*UPDATE* As much as I dislike this course, I really enjoyed todays run. Conditions were great, all be it slightly cold! 4th counter for the club too. Looked to be a good turn out for both senior races. Distance was certainly not 5.5 miles as advertised or 8800m. Garmin said 5.9 which acquettes more to the pace I was running.

cake muncher Placed 48th. Not a great run but felt I ran reasonably well considering that I had a heavy cold all weekend. Good weather conditions for running.

gtwhitton I didn't have high hopes for this race as I have only done a couple of cross country races before (incl this one in 2005). I was also wearing Puma H Street shoes with absolutely no grip whatsoever. I took it easyish on the way out, and felt like I was struggling in places. I felt I was slipping around so tried to stay off the main path which was getting quite muddy. On the way back in, after being stampeded by a flock of angry sheep, I started to pick off a few of the people who had passed me and as we came back into the park I found a burst of energy and took off. The last 400m I was flying and finished off at a canter. Well happy to beat 2005 time by 15 seconds given the training I have managed, and the shoes I was wearing. Actual distance is 5.8 miles.
