Dishley parkrun, Loughborough

About this parkrun

flat course, starting on playing fields, with a section on a good gravel path and then canal towpath before more playing fields to finish. Can be muddy in places.

Run @ Loughborough Rugby Club ( LE115FJ ) with parking on site. Flat rural grass and trail route- twice around playing field with loop along the River Soar in the middle. Trail shoes recommended after rain! Toilets & coffee in Rugby Club.

Starting with a lap around the rugby pitches, out over a bridge to canal towpath, onto a parallel path, then sharp 180* left turn back onto towpath to return. Across to two meadows, then back over the bridge, & around the rugby pitches to finish.

Super friendly Dishley parkrun. Attended on the first birthday bash and Pow-Wow of “With me now’s” Danny Norman and Nicola Forward. Great run around Loughborough RFC field and along the River Soar towpath. Great marshals and facilities.

Grass and trails. Was a nice day when I did it. Can imagine it being tough in the winter but a lovely friendly event. Loads of free parking and a good bacon butty after.
