makkem First time I've done this race. Completely off road. The pond and stream made things

Dochart Race HQ at Midsomer Norton RC with parking and changing on site. The route follows a devious course through fields, woods and farmyards, through a pond and up a stream with plenty of ups and downs, although none are prolonged or very severe. It is well marked with friendly & encouraging marshalls along the way and there is a water stop at about half way. This was a really enjoyable race run in lovely weather and with a real family atmosphere. At the finish, a commentator on the PA shouts out your name as you cross the line - how cool is that? Top marks and thanks to the organisers on this one. 101/217
