Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

cake muncher Ran the 1st leg of the Cateran Trail Relay paired with Markus Schlosser. Someone said it was 6 miles but it felt like more. Struggled in the first half then picked up the pace in the last 2 miles. Warmed down by running the hilly 3rd leg.

Fat Boy Ran for Carnegie in stage 2 of the Cateran Trail Relay which is a 23.5 mile race along the Cateran trail from Blairgowrie to the Spittal of Glenshee. Stage 2 is about 7.5 miles and has a mixture of forest tracks, hills, and boggy countryside. It's run in pairs and together with Dave MacLean we clocked 55.37 which was the 2nd quickest time on that leg and as a team we won the race in a course record of 2.39.55. Great day out with 8 Carnegie teams taking part and 27 teams in total. Carnegie Lass, Rachey Babes and Magoo were representing Carnegie in their respective teams and HRC was representing Fife AC.

racheybabes Really enjoyed the beginning and end of the race, but wasn't too keen on the field at the middle that was at a 45% angle and full of mini streams and heather (and a dead sheep!). Legs felt tired throughout but tried my best and we ended up with 2nd mixed team prize! I think it was my team mate who kept me running during the hard bits!! According to the race literature our 2nd leg of the race was 8.11 miles, so time was ok-ish.
