Slider45 Beaten by the course again! Far too optimistic with my race time prediction - allowed myself to get whacked on the hills again. A few training issues clearly brought to light as well. Nevertheless, as always there was a great atmosphere and the weather was good but for the wind.

Swimming Is Easier Really hilly - felt harder than the Chesterfield Spire 10 miler - long hills not much respite. My friend's brother is in the TA and even he agreed it was a tough one!! Really pleased with my time, did 1 hour 12 last year.

Lapsed Athlete My training so far gives me confidence I can get around the course safely but not sure about my speed so I'll save the under one hour prediction for the Abbey Dash. When it was mentioned that it was hilly I didn't know it was going to be so hard going, still I made it even if a couple of minutes outside of my predicted time.
