abdou Due to abundance of kids at the front of the start, had the unnerving feeling of going off in the lead. Held it for the first 1.5k but felt rusty and suffered on the hills; one guy passed me at 1.5, two others (more annoyingly) at 4.5. Finished just outside top 3 and just outside PB - feel like Paula Radcliffe in the 90s... Great little event though - spoke to one of the organisers who said they're planning to make it a regular thing: nice one :) Good to see the family 71 - Max doing what I should have and turning this into a long run.

Max71 1.2 miles from my front door? It wold be rude not to. What a lovely race. No flat bits at all...a figure of 8 round Hilly Fields. So proud of The Son a minute outside his PB on a course that climbed 497ft. There's a medal and a t-shirt too.

sallykate Ach put my race note in the general section! So close to home I can't not do this - and in a good local cause too. Will try to get to 31mins but it will depend a bit on the route they choose. Not good! Got bad stitch very soon after starting ... and those hills - there's a reason I run down to Greenwich instead of running round Hilly Fields. Felt short too - Garmin alleged 2.92mi. But a great morning, lovely atmosphere and I hope it becomes an annual event.
