Unicorn Happy with the time, for a hilly course. Fourth place out of 1550 runners!

tjrunning First 2 km up hill made this very difficult (plus the hills between 3 aand 5 k) but the last 2 k were downhill which allowed a reasonable time overall. First 10k race but it felt good and much easier than half marathons which I have tended to run in the past, will hopefully do more of these in the future.

Qwerty Blimey but there's a lot of points bet on this now! Y'all better hope it's not (a) sunny, (b) hot, or (c) sunny and hot, cos that's what knackered me last year! **UPDATE** Not hot, not sunny, but a PB :-) Lovely course with great marshals but this was very congested for the first 2k at least, largely due to the number of people running in inseparable twos and threes which made passing difficult especially with my lack of pace on the relentlessly uphill first half. Lovely atmosphere before, during and after - a very relaxed event :-)
