handbag Managed to get lost on the way to the race, and subsequently started approx 7 mins after the start! the marshalls were very kind and stuck around! Really nice course and generally very enjoyable. Still way off being anything like fit, but not bad for longest run since October.

Longlegs One to be aware of nest year, was unaware when I entered online that I would have to collect my number on the day, this is very unusual as I have entered loads of races online and this is the first time, I have been asked to collect the number on the day. Entering online is supposed to make things easier and having to collect your number on the day isn't easy. It was lucky that there were no entries on the day otherwise this would have been even more confusing.

Course was good and clearly marked throughout on a Traffic Free course, marshalls were there but most didn't say anything or direct you. KM markers were all there. One slight hill at 7k other than that the rest of the race was undualting.

My Garmin 301 made the course 10.2KM, this doesn't mean the course was over length but just mentioning it.

Last little quirk is that the cars are parked in a field which cars the course crosses so cars can't leave until all runners are home, this can delay you leaving for some time.

I received no email or race information as I entered online so was unaware of what was expected this would have been more of a problem if this was my first race.

I might do this one again.

Martian Dashes Whoops! I forgot to leave my hat with the support team so foolishly ran back to the bottom of the lane to leave it with the marshalls there. When I got back to the start everone had gone off racing.
I never really established a rhythm, had a stitch from about 8km, blisters (again) from about 5km and finished in 49 something. Loved it, bring on the next one.

This time its for real! I had really researched this run after the Bexhill effort so I knew the terrain & exactly where the hill was coming. Managed to run all the way & finished over 7 minutes faster sowell chuffed.
