Cavey A great race after a very disappointing Windsor Half. I had my new Garmin to try out as well, which helped in keeping a steady pace all the way round rather than setting off like a nutter as in previous events.

The organisation was superb, although making people line up in bib numbers rather than estimated finishing time made for an interesting first mile. Support around the course was very impressive, in some residential areas people had set up deck chairs outside their houses and even set up their own water stations!

I couldn't get over the number of Brits there were too. Everywhere you looked there was a club vest, or people chatting away in English.

The course was relatively flat as you'd expect but there were a few inclines which I wasn't expecting and therefore felt cheated!!! Got to see a Windmill which made the race for me! Well, that and the stadium finish. Its always nice to run on some lovely cushioned track after nearly 13 miles of tarmac.

wrinty Suffered from a bit too much Euro-Culture, so did not perform as well as expected.
