I think the area of Korea is very dry so they get less than a metre of snow a year even though it is fairly cold.

Apparently the US tv coverage shipped in extra snow so their studio would look more wintry

I just saw someone at the snowboarding do a melon grab. I’m 100% sure that is what they said on the commentary

Just caught highlights of GBR v CAN in the women's curling. Great comeback and a brilliant stone by Muirhead late in the match (effectively a three ball plant in snooker terms), striking two GBR stones and eliminating CAN ones in the process.

Alpenrose, I don't mind the "man made" nature of the courses. It's still snow (sort of!), and some of the downhill courses, GS etc. have been amazing set ups with real challenges. I hear the racers think they are brilliant. I don't know much about boarder or ski cross but surely the courses must always have been rather "made up"? I'm hoping to catch the ski cross on catch up. Sounded exciting.

Felt sorry for Rowan C in the half pipe. But the top 3 were incredible. The style and composure as well as the height and technical difficulty are just amazing.

BBC coverage is OK. I quite like some of the studio chat. At least they have real event experts, previous Olympians, not just pundits. And I like Clare B, Hazel I etc. as presenters. Knowledgeable, enthusiastic, smart.

Have men's curling still got a chance to get through to semis / finals. :-) G

Not so interested in ice dance / figure skating but some of the routines yesterday were very beautiful.

I have been loving Chemmy Alcott’s punditry. She’s decently bonkers

I just wish we had enough hard-drive space to keep it all until I’ve managed to watch it!!

I caught a replay of T&D's Bolero yesterday from 1994 - still amazing - just flowing and perfect the whole way through, I don't think anyone will ever top it.

The individual women (girls - given one of them is 15!) short programme was lovely. My wife and I watched it last night. Ski cross was an awesome watch. Those guys are bonkers. It's the sport that's closest to how me and my mates like to ski (but a millions times faster and more advanced, obv!) so I enjoy watching it.

I've missed the women's bobsleigh somehow. Will get it on iPlayer. Yay for internet catch up telly! :-) G

BBC is fine in the main. The Leigh character is an arse. Balding is on the verge of over egging her pudding. I have found some of the YES! when GB does well irritating mind, stick to telling us why stuff is incredible (even though I can see it for myself) rather than going THAT is incredible.

I still like the uphill running on skis that the Norway sprint cross country people can do that nobody else appears to be able to.

Ski jumping, yes, they appear to be wearing suits that turn into kites....
