Soo had a nice walk and chat with glamping guy. 3.5 hours. V easy to talk to and interesting. We seem to have similar views. Not sure there's romance there, but a really nice afternoon.

Well.... stunned and still a little shell shocked.

Long story short, after five years of being made to feel completely worthless and unattractive (too fat, too scrawny, contribute nothing, pathetic, there's a reason he's an ex) someone I've known for a while, very unexpectedly, found me attractive and engaging enough to ask me out yesterday.

Sadly, as much as I fancy him (and I REALLY do!), it has to be a no. My life is complicated enough right now. Damn though, the man can kiss.

Bummer OM but... A great kiss is a great kiss and being appreciated and desired is invaluable!

What a shame Old Mum. Can you not see each other on a chilled-out basis?

Gym guy was very chatty today. He is sooooo hot. I've also joined Muddy Matches on a free basis to have a wee look. Nothing doing on Bumble at the mo'. I haven't clicked on anyone for ages - they seem to all look the same at the moment and not in a good way.

Oh, I absolutely could. He's a lovely guy, very easy going and we have a great laugh every time we meet, always have, which is why I was stunned by him doing that. I absolutely did not expect it.

I'd hate to lose him as a friend, we went through college and uni together and I value him as a trusted friend. It wouldn't be fair on either of us. I simply can't commit, and can't see a time where I would, whereas he wants that. I'd hate myself pretending it was something more than I can give. You just wouldn't do that to a friend.

Dagnammit! I hate being a responsible adult sometimes! Sorry, bit of a ramble. Very torn by this but I know it's the right thing to do. Plus, I have excellent dating options for him. Much better than me!

I'm done with relationships. I was with my ex for 12 years and quite frankly CBA with making the effort to give to another relationship. I've been in long term relationships (two) since I was 16 and am now actually liking not only myself, for a change, but also my own space. I'm more than happy to devote time to friends, but not a relationship.

Hi everyone.

I think the future for me will be to avoid co-habitting. As a mature person I’m very happy with my own space and don’t feel the need to live on top of another person. I reckon a lot of tension can be avoided that way.

A girl I work with has 4 kids, recently divorced, having to sell family home and downsize.

She's got a chap and they see each other when she doesn't have family commitments. At the start she explained that she doesn't have much time. He considered it and they now have a working relationship with sometimes big gaps not seeing each other. He's got a busy life too.
