[If I'm close to Pretty Numbers I tend to open a second page just for the hit counter page. Mildly obsessive, but it makes for far more efficient and easy sneaky tactical clickings :-) :-o )

Hmmm ... So if encapsulating a passage with square brackets signifies that you've not really said something and using rounded brackets adds an element of explanation, does opening with a square bracket and closing with a rounded mean that you've half said or hinted at something?

(The hit counter only updates periodically so it's tricky to know for certain where you are up to, isn't it? So isn't it even more so if you have two open?]

For Obsessives ... Open a second Fetch browser page, Go find and open the Page Hit Counter, FOR THE TIME BEING COMPLETELY IGNORE THE FIRST/ORIGINAL?INITIAL FETCH PAGE, Go away and do something else for at least 10 minutes*, Come back and click to update the page hit counter ... you now know your tally, now go back and use the original forums page, want to know how close you're getting to the pretty numbers? Do something else for 10 minutes or so, open the adjoining second page which should still be open on the hits counter page ... and update :-)

* The counter updates every 10 minutes ;-)
