Bonio there is plenty of hotels, B & Bs and self catering accommodation in fort William but book somewhere early as it does get booked up quickly. If I was supporting I would prefer somewhere to crash early on Sunday morning when you finish, even if you only have time to change and shower before prize giving on Sunday.

Bonio , you're aiming for 32 ish but your crew are with you for only 20 ? Have you got two crews then ?
As i'm sure you are aware things can go very well in a long race like this or very badly so i would be prepared for much earlier and much later.
Try and book somewhere where they have all night service on the desk (premier in or bank street lodge) or explain you may be wanting to check in very late.
The way i do it , is to ask my support to check us all in and take the bags in after i leave linlocleven. I don't want them at Lundava so ths gives them 4 hours in my dreams and several hours in my nightmares to sort that.
In my experience the support may try and grab a bit of sleep here and there but mostly they will be up as long as you and probably a lot more stressed out. Supporting is dam hard graft. They'll need a bed asap as well.
If you can stay sunday , they do but do make the ceremony. One of the best things about the whwrace is the ceremony and the get togethers after. The ceremony is very special indeed and i don't believe any other race has a feeling quite like this one.
Hope i get to Fort William in one piece and see you there. (if i get throught the ballot & i'm injury free that is )
Hope that helps

The agony of all those stones on the zig zag road down to KLL which goes on for EVER!!!!! I had my first crying fit and argued with shanksi. Actual checkpoint was fine. Then the gruelling toughest climb of the race out of KLL which was like climbing a mountain of rubble....
You were great, no complaints there x

No V she asked you about your kids and you just spent the last 20 hours running so you could get away from them.

Duchess, I actually love the run down to kinlochleven. the magical city bit comes from the fact you can see the lights from some distance but as you zig zag down the lights disappear and the lights never seen to get any nearer!

flip I loved the run down to KLL during the Devil. I think it was the fact it was coming after 80 odd miles instead of only 30. My feet were shredded
