Did this weeks last night: 30 (and it should have been a couple more); the previous week I got 26. It's a pity that answering questions in UC is not a marketable skill.
I think though that part of the reason for my high scores was that none of the four teams were much good, therefore they didn't beat me to many answers. In an earlier episode I only answered 19, where the winners scored 265. (I did get 26 in last series's final, though :-).)

I'm sure it's easier nowadays - for the masses anyway. Especially as there are more low-brow categories. I certainly score higher than I would back in Bamber's day.
