Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I had hoped to get a sunrise and sunset photo today, the Solstice, but nature said otherwise.

Fortunately, where we live this is the first of 4 shortest days so I’ve got 3 more chances :)

s that all from barnacles switts? I know sometimes they get clothing on them. I'll have to go and take a look one day.

Comparing this one with a regular Iron Man, it's almost twice the size. The research showed that the species of barnacle had been carried to Crosby beach, probably by a ship: it did not live there naturally.

Here are a few words I put down three years ago, with a link to the research paper. It includes photos and a map showing the location of each Iron Man.

Mandymoo A scene such as this would have occurred regularly in Hardy's 'Tess'. A reason why authors and poets write :)

A beautiful scene nicely composed and shot Mandy, love it.

We had the fog but not the sun burning through it here so nothing from me!
