Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Hanging in there. Met a friend in a cafe for an hour and there was video screen. Noticed East 17 followed by Whitney, but spared Wham luckily. Also somehow dodged it in local Tesco on way back.

I survived my shopping trip. The only music which I recognised was that Duran Duran Bond theme (can't remember what it's called).

I've started listening to Union Jack radio using their app, while out running. Seems fairly safe at the moment, although I've heard Wuthering Heights more times in the last week than I have since 1978.

Survived shopping trip today. Couple of nervous moments in shops playing seventies and eighties popular Christmas tunes, but luckily that song wasn’t one of them during the time I was there 😅

Friday, Saturday and Sunday all involve high risk activity though 🤪

Sheet for 2024 is on the first tab; you update your own entry. As with previous years, we're also tracking the number of repeated 'hits' for those who are out before the end (if you want to).

Who's up for the challenge then? whamageddon.com

"The 1st Rule
The objective is to go as long as possible without hearing WHAM's Christmas classic; "Last Christmas".

The 2nd Rule
The game starts on December 1st, and finishes at the end of December 24th.
Use your local timezone, if you'd like.

The 3rd Rule
Only the original version applies.

The 4th Rule
You're out as soon as you recognise the song.

Player vs Player?
While we can't stop you from deliberately sending your friends to Whamhalla, the intention is that this is a survival game. Not a Battle Royale. So ... don't be a dick, okay?"
